Keeping Kids Active this Summer

The Center for Health Improvement is excited to offer the
ninth annual Kids Quest program. Last year’s program kept 348 youth active throughout the summer. The 10-week program began June 1.

The goal is 60 miles of activity. Miles can be earned by walking, biking, swimming, running, playing sports, and any other continuous activity. An exercise challenge has been added that will count towards extra miles. Children will be offered the option to add strength training exercises to earn one-half mile per day.

As they complete miles, participants will earn prizes from local business sponsors. Due to COVID-19, prizes will be distributed as coupons upon completion of the program. The program will conclude on August 10. Coupons and t-shirts will be available for pick up August 11-15. Participants must register online by Sunday, May 31 to receive a free t-shirt. All materials will be available online, along with exercise videos to keep our community’s kids moving. Join the Quest at www.haysmed.com/the-center/kids-quest.
