Hadley Foundation Receives Don and Chris Bickle Philanthropy Award

Joe Jeter accepts the award on behalf of the Hadley Foundation. The award sculpture was designed by local artist Willy Pfeifer and cast by the FHSU Art and Design Department.

The Hadley Foundation is the 2020 recipient of the prestigious Don and Chris Bickle Philanthropy Award. Established in 1991 to provide support for the activities and mission of Hays Medical Center, the Hadley Foundation originated from the Mark Hadley estate.

The Hadley Foundation has provided more than $9 million in financial support to countless initiatives that invest in the infrastructure and people of the hospital. Additionally, the Hadley Foundation displays its vast collection of original Kansas artists’ work in the public spaces of HaysMed.

The Don and Chris Bickle Philanthropist of the Year Award is bestowed annually by the HaysMed Foundation. This award recognizes a benefactor that has demonstrated leadership through investment in the programs and people of HaysMed. It is fitting that this award serves both to honor its inductees as well as inspire the proliferation of passionate support.
